Time Flies
Sometimes, so much time has passed that it seems almost impossible to start over on a blog or anything. Ever feel like that?
I decided to update my website a long time ago. It didn’t happen overnight…it more like happened, over two years. Either way, its done. Finally!
I really love words…talking, writing, blogging, all of it, so, I’m just going to jump in regardless and learn how to use this new format on YOU. It will be like learning to ride a bike IN FRONT OF SOMEONE! Eeeeek! Wouldn’t that feel better if you could do it somewhere private and then just appear as an expert biker? Yep, but life’s not always like that. Sometimes, we just have to share our process Out Loud : )
Something new and wonderful has happened to me…
One of my very favorite Galleries/Shops in San Antonio is Mockingbird Handprints. Great name, right? Why is it my favorite? Because it’s not your everyday gallery where just the outside walls have flat art on them, rather the outside walls have art on them AND the interior of the space has great tables with things that WE MUST OWN. FUN STUFF! Colorful, funky, quirky, one of a kind, serious And special.
All of it. ALL. OF. IT!
The first time that I went in I was attracted to the space AND I met the owner Jane Bishop. Smitten with her, too! On the way home, I told my husband…that place would be a dream, to be a part of.
Time passed and when it was SUPPOSED to happen, it did. I saw Jane in her beautiful space at the annual juried and prestigious Southwest School of Art Fiesta Fair in San Antonio. Much to my surprise, she said she wanted my work in her Gallery. Yay! Dreams do come true! Thank You, Jane!
I started taking clay classes from the remarkably talented ceramics artist, Linda Manning in Boerne last year, and I’ve started combining my clay with my love of Mixed Media and some engineering and voila…these little stars were born. I think about what I will make next, before I ever finish what I’m working on. I think its safe to say that I am smitten with ceramics!
Well, thats my Update! And there’s so much more to report, but, I’ll stop here. I just wanted to dive in “Hastily” and practice a posting on you guys. Thanks so much for your constant encouragement towards me on Facebook and Instagram. Everything that has come along with this new life of Art has been nothing but Cherries on the Cake.
When in San Antonio, please be sure to stop by Mockingbird Handprints in the Bluestar Complex, on the mellow and residential end of the River Walk. You must walk it as it is FREE of tourists!

I CANT WAIT to see where these gals Forever Homes will be!
